The Paediatric Cardiac Program at Apollo Children's Hospital, Chennai has successfully reached out to over 6000 poor children with heart disease and treated them through open heart surgery and interventional procedures.

While Alfred Solomon Heart Foundation has sponsored several children, the majority were treated under various Government Schemes with tremendous support from Apollo Hospitals Management and the Save A Child's Heart Initiative (SACHI).

These children have undergone advanced procedures including Arterial Switch Operation, TAPVC Repair, Valve Repairs, Tetralogy of Fallot Repair, Ventricular Septal Defect Closure and Ductal Stenting, even in babies weighing as little as 2.5–3 kg.
